Who’s up for an all day Maniac Mansion marathon!! There are only 66 episodes, so it’s completely doable. However, I understand if you want to make a weekend of it. This show is awesome. For those that don’t know much about it here’s a quick explanation: A meteor is in this family’s basement and their dad is a mad scientist. Weird things happen because of the meteor’s supernatural powers. The kid in the house turns into a full-grown man, but still has the kid’s brain. The uncle turns into a fly, except his head is still a man’s head. Then you throw in typical living and you’ve got a quality comedy. It’s humorous and fun, a great family weekend when you can’t afford a “real vacation.” The series was only three seasons and it is Canadian, just to warn you. However, it is great family viewing. It is hard to find family friendly programming today with all that is allowed to air, even at 8pm. Some people did not like the show because it is loosely based on a game. I was never a big gamer, so the fact it did not match the game, made no difference to me. Just check it out. Even if you do not make a weekend out of it!
